Aaron Johnson

Mr. Johnson has been involved in the MEP engineering design and construction industry for over fifteen years primarily within the Washington, DC and Philadelphia, PA regions. Aaron began his career with the firm AI Architecture (now Perkins+Will), and then with Ebert & Baumann Consulting Engineers. Aaron has extensive project design and management experience with base building projects and tenant fit-outs. Mr. Johnson seeks to engage his clients and design team members in a collaborative approach to identify the appropriate and most sustainable MEP solutions. Aaron holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Howard University. He began the firm J+M Engineering in 2013.

Joe Matje

Mr. Matje has been involved in the design and construction industry for over fifteen years. With both general contractor and A/E firm experience, he is equally adept in design engineer or project manager roles on projects ranging from higher education buildings and high-rise office towers to government facilities and multi-family housing. As a proponent of sustainable design, Joe has led detailed energy consumption studies, lectured on the integration of green engineering design with architecture, and authored “Energy Design in the Year 2031”. He graduated from Villanova University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was lead mechanical engineer at Bruce E. Brooks and Associates. He joined the firm J+M Engineering full time in 2018
